“There is another Loneliness”

Today, I want to share one of my favorite Dickinson poems that I committed to memory a long time ago:

loneliness

“There is another Loneliness”

There is another Loneliness
That many die without,
Not want of friend occasions it
Or circumstances or lot

But nature, sometimes, sometimes thought
And whoso it befall
Is richer than could be divulged
By mortal numeral.

Emily Dickinson, 1854
